Dodsy vs The Sage: Predicting the Champions League Results

Published by Dodsy and The Sage.

The rules: On all the big games, Dodsy and The Sage go head-to-head predicting the scores. 3 points for a correct score, 10 points for a perfect score. After a tense battle last weekend, the 2 predict this week’s Champions League results.

Roma v Porto

Dodsy: Interesting one. Roma are not going much further in this competition but I back a solid home win here. Roma 2-0 Porto.

The Sage: Roma are a bit in and out, but their home form should be enough for a narrow win. Roma 1-0 Porto.

Manchester Utd v PSG

Dodsy: Should be a fantastic game. Normally I would back PSG but without Neymar and Cavani, I back Solskjaer’s boys to win a thriller. Manchester Utd 2-1 PSG.

The Sage: Let’s be clear, even with their recent resurgence, United are clear underdogs in this tie. The absence of Cavani and Neymar is a significant bonus, but I still think PSG get something here. Manchester Utd 2-2 PSG.

Ajax v Real Madrid

Dodsy: Real Madrid are looking better in recent weeks and they always perform well in Europe. I back them for a thumping win away from home. Ajax 0-3 Real Madrid.

The Sage: I think Real Madrid will find one or two too good to secure their fourth successive title, but they will have enough to get past Ajax. Ajax 1-2 Real Madrid.

Tottenham v Dortmund

Dodsy: This is a hard one to call. I’d feel more confident with Kane playing for Spurs, and despite the quality of Dortmund, I think a score draw is on the cards. Tottenham 1-1 Dortmund.

The Sage: The best German side should just have enough to beat the third best English one. Tottenham 1-2 Dortmund.
